Hi, my name is Nathan Roennfeldt and I have been creating for as long as I can remember. Some of my earliest memories are sitting at the edge of my father’s studio desk joining pieces of cardboard together or imitating my father’s illustrations and artworks.
All through my primary and high school years I continued to tinker and make absurd creations before heading to the University of South Australia to study Visual Arts with a keen interest in jewellery making, ceramics and sculpture.
While there, my mother came across a unique business opportunity and ended up buying the Hahndorf Knife Shop. In November 2010 after a short six day crash course in sharpening and shaping handles my Mum & I took over the business. It was here that my passion for creating flourished, slowly gaining the skills and equipment to produce high quality, bespoke kitchen knives.
It was in 2018 that I developed a new brand for myself and took knife making to the next level. With this new brand I also began forming the idea of a place where I could bring all my passions together in one place. This website is the result of years of planning and the collection of all my aspirations and creations.
